One of our key focuses is making sure each invitation suite we create feels unique and special to our couples. We love adding in personal touches through unique color palettes and textures, vintage stamps, and of course envelope liners. Envelope liners are an amazing way to infuse your personality and style into your invitation suite by showcasing your custom monogram, a favorite art print, or a vintage map of the location where you will be married. Below are five unique envelope liner ideas sure to add personality to any invitation suite.
Using gold foil on your envelope liner is an unexpected way to add shine and elegance to your invitation suite. Whether you are doing gold foil for your invitation cards, a gold foil envelope liner compliments all print methods and materials. For this envelope liner, we opted to do gold foil on vellum creating the illusion the gold foil is printed on the inside of the envelope itself.
It is pretty evident we are big art buffs over here at Ink & Press Co., our entire semi-custom collection is inspired by Mikyla Marie’s favorite artists. An art print envelope liner is the perfect way to add old-world charm to your invitation suite. When it comes to art prints, there are so many to choose from. If you are looking to create a romantic invitation suite, an art print from the Impressionist era would be a great fit. For those looking for a French aesthetic, we love working with Baroque and Rococo art prints. Just make sure the art print you select is in the public domain!
We love working with our couples to create custom monograms and crests to use throughout their invitation suite and day-of paper goods. For our semi-custom couples, we have a collection of 4 different monograms/crests to choose from. We love when couples opt to us one of these monograms on their envelope line adding a very regal and timeless touch to their invitation suite.
We are big fans of John James Audubon’s ornithology prints as well as Pierre-Joseph Redouté’s botany prints. Both illustrators are famous for their accuracy, technicality and talent. Including a botany print is the perfect way to add romance and a feminine touch to your invitation suite. In our opionion, Redouté’s prints look especially lovely when paired with modern designs. For Audubon’s ornithology prints, we love pairing these lovely bird illustrations with classic designs.
For our couples who are having a destination wedding, we love including a vintage map as the envelope liner. There is no better way to build excitement for your guest’s upcoming travels than giving them a preview of where they will be traveling to. For this couple’s wedding in Spain, we included a vintage map of the coast of Spain where the couple will be saying I do.
