A rich palette of burgundy and chocolate brown was layered with velvet, thick cotton cardstock, touches of gold, and dimensional print methods to create depth, warmth, and a sense of luxury throughout the suite.
Our roadmap drew inspiration directly from the theatre setting, featuring a ticket stub inspired save the date, interactive paper elements, and layered influences from both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras. While the couple ultimately chose to elevate the experience into a custom boxed invitation suite, this concept laid a beautiful foundation for the overall event branding.
Set within Detroit’s iconic Fillmore Theatre, this New Year’s Eve celebration with Julian Leaver Events was designed to capture the festive spirit of the evening through the lens of old-world glamour. Deep winter tones and richly layered details drew inspiration from the luxury and opulence of the Golden Age of Hollywood.
When discussing the design direction, we intentionally moved away from the expected Art Deco “Great Gatsby” interpretation and instead embraced the romanticism of Art Nouveau. This approach created the perfect foundation for a softer, more floral interpretation of a theatre-inspired celebration. Drawing inspiration directly from the venue interiors, the design was filled with Art Nouveau whiplash curves, organic movement, and florals that appeared to grow effortlessly across the page.

"Every detail is intentional telling the story of an event from beginning to end. No one does event branding and stationery quite like Ink & Press Co."

A velvet boxed invitation suite layered with intention and interactive paper elements. The invitation card featured double-sided printing, with the reverse design later carried into the custom dance floor installation. One of our favorite suite details was the welcome party card designed as a vintage clapboard with a fully functional moving top. For the day-of experience, we especially loved the custom “Will Call” inspired seating chart installation, designed to reflect the theatrical spirit of the celebration.
