III. Visualize Materials

Mountain-inspired tones and textures of leather and wood were contrasted with subtle touches of romance through delicate mulberry paper and velvet details. Shades of green, layered neutrals, and accents of butter yellow brought softness and delicacy to the overall palette.

II. Design Roadmaps

For the roadmaps, we explored layered paperie to create a more expansive design story. Statement typography and tactile textures were balanced with intentional negative space, allowing each layer to guide the eye. While the final direction evolved, the foundation began with the idea of multiple cards working together to complete the composition.

Inspired by the balance of rugged mountain beauty and refined elegance, this wedding was designed by Rachael Ellen Events with a quiet luxury sensibility at its core. Layered print methods, intentional emboss and deboss height variation, and richly tactile textures created depth and dimension throughout the suite.

the visual process and concept refinement

Designed on the concept of layering and dimension, this invitation suite explored how individual cards could stack together to create a complete composition. Inspired by mountain textures and organic forms, embossing and debossing, sculptural floral die-cuts, and soft tonal printing brought tactile depth throughout the suite. Warm neutrals and butter tones paired with refined typography created a balance of structure, softness, and romance.

Set against the mountains of Park City, Utah, this wedding balanced refined elegance with rich texture and romantic detail. Draped fabrics, sculptural florals, and layered neutrals created an atmosphere that felt intimate and elevated. One of our favorite details was a set of custom playing cards featuring cheeky verbiage, housed inside a faux leather box, a playful contrast to the otherwise romantic aesthetic.
